Nga Kete Aronui Service
Our Ngā Kete Aronui service is a Kaupapa Māori Primary Mental Health service for Tangata motuhake and whānau who are unable to self-manage, but do not meet the criteria for secondary Mental Health & Addiction services.
Ngā Kete Aronui – the baskets of “life’s” knowledge is available to all ages and stages of a person’s life. The service provides a continuum of wellbeing support, treatment and therapy and promotes early detection and intervention for mental health issues.
Ngā Kete Aronui works in a connected way to best meet the needs of individuals providing a range of support and interventions within group programs and 1 to 1, where necessary, Tangata motuhake will be supported into other services within their communities.
The Service is open from 8.30am until 5pm Monday to Friday (closed public holidays and weekends). Referrals are accepted from your doctor or your medical center Health Improvement Practitioner. Self and whānau referrals are accepted.
